Meet Bridgett Blough, freelance writer and blogger for B’s Take on Things
What’s your top story for today?
I recently bought a new cook book, so I wrote a recipe for a healthy alternative to chocolate truffles. One of my upcoming posts is on bread making and a Slow Food event I attended.
Tell us about your dream assignment.
My dream assignment would be a yoga retreat in an exotic place or travel writing about a desirable destination (tropics, Europe, Inca Trail, Australia).
Describe the wackiest story you’ve ever done.
The wackiest story I’ve ever written is Chocoland, where I talk about my imaginary place that I envision when I do yoga: deemed Chocoland.
What is your PR pet peeve?
My PR pet peeve is when everybody writes the same stuff — how to lose weight, how to have a “healthy” lifestyle, diets and fitness. So much of it is just the same stuff circulating around.
Top trend in the industry you’re currently covering or are interested in?
I am perusing natural foods and ingredients vs. conventional foods and the typical American diet– even questioning the food pyramid. I’m also reading into whether or not we should really drink milk and how we are walking “corn people.”
Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a personal trainer and yoga instructor who loves to travel, cook, eat chocolate, do yoga and workout. Approximately five years ago, I pursued local and natural products. My love for travel has led me to live in several cities including San Francisco, Chicago and Alaska.

Bridgett, which city did you most love to live in? -Jordana
Bridgett – my favorite yoga haunt used to be on the island of Kauai. Views of the mountains, the waterfalls and the Pacific ocean. Absolutely magical. What’s your favorite yoga spot? Thanks for your guest blog. Cheers, David
