Landis is a 2027 PRNEWS Agency Elite Top 120 Honoree, And We’re Celebrating With Some New Clients, Too

It’s a good week at Landis.

We’re proud to share that Landis Communications Inc. (Landis) has been named to PRNEWS’ 2027 Agency Elite Top 120, the industry’s most respected roster of PR and communications firms. The list, unveiled on September 9, recognizes agencies of every size and specialty for the kind of work that actually moves the needle for clients, combining good ideas with the strategy, creativity and follow-through to make them land. Honorees will be celebrated at the PRNEWS Platinum Awards Gala on October 6 in New York City.

We’re also excited to share that Landis has been named a finalist in Ragan’s 2026 Zenith Awards in the Agencies of the Year category. The Zenith Awards recognize standout communications, PR and marketing work for its strategy, creativity and results. Winners will be announced November 5 at the Zenith Awards Luncheon in New York City.

Our industry is changing fast. AI is reshaping how people search for information and discover organizations. Media continues to fragment across platforms. Measurement is becoming more sophisticated. We’ve responded by expanding our AI visibility and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) capabilities and developing Search Everywhere PR™, an approach designed for how people and AI systems find information today.

Being recognized as one of the agencies “worth paying attention to” is a nod to the whole Landis team and the work we do every day for clients across healthcare, LGBTQ+, environmental, cultural and nonprofit sectors, among others. Landis is an LGBTQ+-owned agency.

“These recognitions belong to our whole team,” said Sean Dowdall, president and CEO of Landis Communications Inc. “We’ve built our reputation over 35 years by staying nimble, staying curious and putting real strategy behind every campaign. Earlier this year, we developed Search Everywhere PR™ to bring that same strategic approach to the rapidly changing search landscape. It’s part of how we’re evolving with our industry and helping clients stay visible wherever their audiences are looking.”

What is Search Everywhere PR™?

Search Everywhere PR™ is Landis’s proprietary methodology for improving how organizations are found across AI search, traditional search engines and every channel where audiences discover information. Search Everywhere PR™ starts with a communications strategy, supported by analytical tools that track AI visibility / GEO, SEO performance and cross-channel presence. That combination tells us where an organization is being found today, where it is not and what to do about it.

From there, Landis runs a continuous cycle: assess, diagnose, prescribe, treat, assess again and improve. It’s a modern, AI-driven test-and-learn approach, not a one-time plan.

At its core, Search Everywhere PR™ is about placing the right content in every channel that AI systems and human audiences consult. Not one channel. All of them, orchestrated and measured.

Speaking of new clients…

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome three new organizations to the Landis roster:

Out Adventures — Since 2009, Out Adventures has been leading small-group LGBTQ+ trips to destinations across Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe, built around the idea that travel should mean real connection with local communities, not just a checklist of sights. We’ll be helping tell that story to a wider audience.

dcbel — The home energy technology company is rethinking what it means to power a home. Its flagship Ara Home Energy Station brings solar, home battery storage, bidirectional EV charging and smart energy management together into one system, giving homeowners more control over where their energy comes from and what it costs. We’re looking forward to helping more people understand what that means for their own homes.

Trust Onion — If you’ve ever gotten a call that sounded exactly like your kid, grandkid or CEO asking for money right this second, you already understand why Trust Onion exists. AI voice cloning and deepfakes have made “is this really you?” a question worth asking every time the phone rings, and Trust Onion (built by Alibi Ledger LLC) gives families a fast, private way to answer it. Layered tools like rotating on-device “Codewords” and biometric “Proofies” let people verify each other in seconds, with nothing stored on Trust Onion‘s servers. We’ll be helping get the word out.

A busy year at Landis

The new additions come during a year that has already given our team plenty to celebrate. Earlier this year, we helped turn a playful San Francisco moment into a national story when Broadway star Karen Mason serenaded the famous sea lions at Pier 39 ahead of her performances at Feinstein’s at the Hotel Nikko. The campaign generated coverage across the country, showing how a creative idea, strong visuals and smart media relations can take a local story beyond San Francisco.

Our reach has also extended across the globe through Public Relations Global Network (PRGN). We’ve supported our PRGN partner in Japan on the U.S. launch of a luxury hotel in Niseko, Hokkaido. The collaboration gave us another opportunity to put PRGN’s international network into action, bringing local market expertise together with Landis’ U.S. media relations capabilities to introduce an international hospitality brand to American audiences. Closer to home, we also celebrated our own Robin Carr, who was named PRSA San Francisco’s 2026 Woman of the Year, recognizing her lasting impact on the Bay Area communications community and a career defined by leadership, integrity and purpose.

Why this all matters right now

Recognition from PRNEWS and Ragan is nice to have on the wall, but the real story is what it represents: a team that keeps earning trust from new clients, year after year, in an industry where that trust is harder to come by than ever. From creative media campaigns and global collaboration to welcoming new clients across travel, energy and technology, we’re continuing to grow while staying focused on what has driven Landis for more than 35 years: smart strategy and work that delivers.

We’re excited to welcome Out Adventures, dcbel and Trust Onion and to show you what we build together.
