Caroline Craig Senior Counselor/Client Relations Landis Communications Inc. Caroline Craig has more than 20 years of experience in both agency and corporate public relations. She has developed creative solutions and generated opportunities for clients, ranging from hospitality to healthcare and legal to landscaping. Caroline’s methods have successfully targeted media providing tangible results. At LCI, Caroline is responsible for senior client management, developing results-oriented public relations programs for clients and implementing those campaigns together with LCI’s accomplished staff. She began her career with San Francisco-based agency Kamer/Singer & Associates, working alongside Sam Singer, now known as one of the City’s leading crisis communicators. There, her work included reviving the image of the San Francisco Marriott, a business hotel that greeted its first guests the day of the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake. Caroline also assisted Alta Bates Medical Center in the successful campaign to return an abducted infant, “Baby Kerri,” and provided counsel to Chevron Corporation for its community outreach and crisis communications. While working for the San Francisco Marriott she traveled to EIBTM, the largest global meetings and incentive travel exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, hosting a press conference for ten of Marriott’s California properties. She was awarded the AHMA Award for Excellence by The American Hotel & Motel Association for Project Open Hand’s fundraiser, Hand to Hand - a collaboration of the Bay Area’s top chefs, restaurants, food and beverage companies under one roof, the Marriott ballroom. Developing a niche in hospitality, Caroline went in-house as manager of public relations for The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco. Notable work included promoting James Beard Award Winner Gary Danko and hosting international press corps to support The Ritz-Carlton/Seoul’s opening. She has also had the privilege of working as media relations director for San Francisco-based Littler Mendelson, the country’s largest employment and labor law firm. With 30 offices nationwide, Caroline guided Littler’s attorneys and positioned them as experts in the fields of workplace violence, harassment and privacy garnering local and national media attention. As a senior consultant, she’s worked with a variety of Bay Area public relations agencies and companies. She has consulted for local brands, including Torani Italian flavoring syrups, Thai Kitchen, essn Energy, Clos du Bois and Roth Vodka. Caroline’s work also has included Sonoma County Vintner Association’s annual fundraiser, A Taste of Sonoma, and the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association’s (IHRSA) exhibition at Moscone Convention Center. She enjoys pro-bono charitable work and has recently assisted in two Haitian Relief fundraisers in her hometown of Mill Valley. An active mother of two children she has competed in open water swims including the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology from Boston College, and additional studies including Fine Arts with a focus on water color painting. ##### February, 2010 |
